Sizes and fabric

Measure from the base of the neck down the back: the cape should end between the knee and the calf. Between sizes, take the longer.
Satin, poly-cotton, broadcloth, quilting cotton or fleece: one color for the outer, a contrast for the lining so it flashes when it flies. ¾ yd (Toddler), 1 yd (Kid), 1¼ yd (Big Kid) of each, 45 in wide. Felt sheets for the mask, emblem and star.
You also need
- 1½ in of 1 in hook-and-loop tape
- ¼ in elastic for the mask (length in the size key)

Seam allowance: ⅜ in (1 cm) included on the cape and mask; the felt pieces have none. Safety: the neck closes with hook-and-loop so it pulls free if caught. Do not replace it with a tie.
