The Quilted Dragon Wings pattern comes in 3 sizes, Toddler to Adult. It is a beginner project that takes about 1 h, in 6 steps. Best fabrics: satin, organza over satin, glitter tulle over cotton, velvet or quilting cotton.
The dragon wing is a bat-style outline with pointed tips and a scalloped edge between them. Here the quilted lines become the wing ribs, fanning out from the center back to each point, so a contrast thread makes them stand out. The points need a little more care when you clip and turn than the round lobes of the Butterfly Wings; the Fairy Wings are the lightest look of the three.
