The Wizard Hat pattern comes in 3 sizes, Kid (20½ in) to Adult (23½ in). It is a beginner project that takes about 1 h, in 5 steps. Best fabrics: velvet, velveteen, satin, cotton, wool felt or linen for the outer; cotton for the lining. You will practice straight seams, sewing a circle seam and topstitching.
