The Quilted Fairy Wings pattern comes in 3 sizes, Toddler to Adult. It is a beginner project that takes about 1 h, in 6 steps. Best fabrics: satin, organza over satin, glitter tulle over cotton, velvet or quilting cotton.
The fairy wing has long, narrow upper wings over small rounded lower wings, a lighter look than the butterfly. Organza over satin or glitter tulle over cotton suits it, with the vein lines quilted in a pale or metallic thread. It is sewn the same way as the rounder Butterfly Wings and the pointed Dragon Wings.
