The witch outfit is sized for porch geese of 17, 23 and 27 inches: Small, Standard and Large. It is an intermediate project that takes about 4 h, in 14 steps. For a 23 in goose you need 1⅛ yd of main fabric, ¾ yd of skirt fabric and ⅝ yd of iron-on interfacing. You will practice gathering a two-layer skirt, setting in puffy sleeves and stiffening a hat brim with interfacing.

The witch outfit is a dress with puffy sleeves and a two-layer skirt: two hemmed loops stacked and gathered together. A cape is hemmed and sewn in with the neck tape, and the pointed hat is a cone on a brim with two ties. Iron-on interfacing stiffens the hat. It is the only goose outfit with both a cape and a tall hat; the ghost outfit swaps them for a sheet and a frilled bonnet.

Good for: Halloween and fall porch displays (more in Halloween and fall goose outfits).

Porch goose hat pattern: the hat steps
