The toy soldier outfit is sized for porch geese of 17, 23 and 27 inches: Small, Standard and Large. It is an intermediate project that takes about 5 h, in 16 steps. For a 23 in goose you need ¾ yd of red fabric and ¼ yd of black cotton for the cap. You will practice gathering a skirt, setting in puffy sleeves and binding the neckline with ties.

The toy soldier outfit is a red dress with two gold braid bands down the front, a black belt with a gold buckle plate and a black cap with a band and a plume. At 16 steps it is one of the two longest goose patterns, with the Santa outfit.
