The gingerbread outfit is sized for porch geese of 17, 23 and 27 inches: Small, Standard and Large. It is an intermediate project that takes about 4 h, in 14 steps. For a 23 in goose you need ¾ yd of brown fabric and ⅛ yd of white felt. You will practice gathering a skirt, setting in puffy sleeves and binding the neckline with ties.
The gingerbread outfit is a brown dress with three red candy buttons on the front, a white felt icing band on each skirt strip and a cap with a band. The buttons go on in step 2, before the top is joined, so they sit flat on the front.
Good for: Christmas and winter porch displays (more in Christmas goose outfits).
