The elf outfit is sized for porch geese of 17, 23 and 27 inches: Small, Standard and Large. It is an intermediate project that takes about 4 h, in 14 steps. For a 23 in goose you need ⅝ yd of green fabric and ¼ yd of red cotton for the band. You will practice gathering a skirt, setting in puffy sleeves and binding the neckline with ties.
The elf outfit is a green dress with a felt collar cut into nine striped points, a red band at the skirt hem and a lined cap with a tip. The skirt and cap are built like the reindeer outfit; the pointed felt collar is the elf's own.
Good for: Christmas and winter porch displays (more in Christmas goose outfits).
Photos are renders of the finished outfit, made from this pattern's shapes.
