Seam allowance: Heat safety: 100% cotton only. Outer, lining, thread and batting must be 100% cotton; Insul-Bright (needle-punched with a metallised film) gives the heat barrier: do not skip it for oven use. Polyester melts.

  2. Cut the layers
  3. Stack and quilt
  4. Cut the two outer halves
  5. Cut the lining and the loop
  6. Make the hanging loop
  7. Sew the outer halves
  8. Clip and turn the outer
  9. Sew the lining
  10. Nest the outer in the lining
  11. Sew the cuff
  12. Turn and close the gap
